as all machine it needs some essential minimum cares to guarantee its correct operation for many years.
SUIVEZ ATTENTIVEMENT CES ÉTAPES:
1.- Install on a plane and hard surface. Set the filter on its supports or connected on its own pipe (depending of
model). Don't install the system in watertight places under earth.
2.- Unpack and connect the different elements that for protection during the transport are sent separated. Place the
elements according to the design. Do not connect on pumps or diesel groups exposed to vibrations that cause bre-
aks or cracks.
3.- Connect the water inlet/outlet ports, in the adequate flow direction, as indicated by the arrows.
4.- It is convenient the use of shut off valves at the inlet and outlet, to isolate the system if needed. This is valid for
the unidirectional valves as well. Use suckers and protections against the hydraulic ram shock.
5.- Connect the drain ports on the cleaning valves to the outlet line, do not send any charge to this outlet and make
sure it is correctly vented to the atmosphere. Check that this drain conduit do not cause charge loss or gets clogged
by sedimentation. When using reservoirs, distance as much as possible the inlet from the outlet.
6.- Check that the electric power is stable and the voltage the same as in the control board, install magnetocaloric
switches or similar protection elements, according to your country law. Handle the inside of the programmer only
when disconnected. For more information see the programmer chapter.
7.- Check the pressure loss as per filter model and programmer model used. Factory standards are 0,5 Kg/cm² for
sand systems, 0,4 Kg/cm² for discs systems and 0,3 Kg/cm² for mesh systems.
8.- On system using sand as filtering element, take care to fill the filter with water before pouring the sand into the
system. This way you will avoid impacts that could break the plastic elements inside.
9.- The filters work at positive pressure, not in aspiration. To filter downwards it is necessary to install pressure kee-
ping valves not supplied as standard.
10.- The minimal operating pressure is 1 Kg/cm², in some systems it is necessary to close the outlet valve to get this
value.
11.- Screw on the suckers and point the outlet towards a suitable place, there may be water evacuation.
12.- Check that the desired filtration quality is the one supplied, looking on the filtering element. It is a good idea to
install secondary filters near the working point, as a safety, to avoid clogging by sediments or dislodging of same from
inside the conductions.
13.- The cleaning time can vary, depending on model and equipment, pressure, and valves. We recommend the
following values, which can be increased if needed, depending on the kind of contaminant and system wear ( more
information on the system model chapter).
- Sand systems with 2" and 3" Globo valve --> From 120 to180" minimum.
- Sand systems with 4" Globo valve --> From 180 to 240" minimum.
- 2" and 3"automatic discs systems without cebollo --> 35" minimum.
- 2" and 3"automatic discs systems with cebollo --> 20" minimum (in vip headers 45").
- 4" and 6" automatic discs systems with cebollo --> 45" and 60" minimum respectively.
- Self cleaning screen Calado filters equipped --> From 20" to 120" minimum.
- Self cleaning screen Automesh filters equipped --> From 20" to 120" minimum.
- Self cleaning screen EKO, EKOSenior and EKOSpeedy filters equipped --> From 30" minimum.
- Hydrocyclones and centrifugal self cleaning filters, equiped with cleaning kit -->10" each ½ hour.
14.- Start the filtering by gradually increasing pressure and flow up to the indicated values. A, high pressure loss
may be due to excess caudal. Check the system model value charts as guide. At the start and without pressure, the
drain valves may keep on working due to lack of pressure (1Kg/cm²).
15.- Once all is correctly connected, make three or four successive and complete manual cleanings, acting on the
programmer, the pressure switch and the valve solenoids . Check that the pressure values are correct while cleaning.
