OPERATION TECHNICAL MANUAL - HARVESTER JF C40 C60 and C120 SERIES 2
7.5- Gap between the knives and the counter-knife
of the chopping impeller.
There is need for the correct gap adjustment between
the counter-knife and the impeller's knives (1) to
optimize the chopping performance and to avoid
product rolling up in the impeller's shaft.
Procedure:
a) With the machine turned off and cardan uncoupled,
upraise the cover.
b) Remove the knife (1) that allows access to the
impeller's fastening bolts (4).
c) Loosen the impeller's fastening bolts (4) a little, using
a wrench (type ¨L¨) according to the sub-item 12.1
table.
d) Manually move the impeller (5), getting the knives (1)
near the counter-knife, in a such way that the distance
between them be the same as a paper sheet thickness
- 0,1 to 0,3 mm.
e) Make a visual analysis of the distance between the
knives (1) and the counter-knife to make sure the
measure is between 0,1 to 0,3 mm, that is, equivalent
to a small light passage.
f) Re-tighten the bolts (4) that fasten the impeller (5) -
see the item 12 tables.
g) Reinstall the knife (1) that was removed.
h) To make sure the adjustment is correct, manually
turn the impeller (5) and check whether there is any
interference between the knives and the counter-knife.
In case there is need, repeat the procedure again.
Attention:
Always use the Personal Protective
Equipment to perform this operation.
The operator should have the JF
machines training certificate to replace
