7.11- Machine preservation

Keep the machiene sheltered from the weather and
protect it from the corrosive effects of some products.
As soon as the harvesting work is finished, take the
precautions below:
To perform the next procedures the machine be
disengaged from the tractor.
Remove all product waste that remained inside the
machine.
Fully wash the machine. Then, leave it to dry in the
sun.
Re-tighten all nuts and bolts. See the item 12 tables
to find out which wrench and torque you should
use.
Re-paint the points where there is need.
Lubricate all grease pins mentioned in sub-item
7.1.
Very important: always keep the machine in a dry
place, protected from sun and rain. Without this
care, there is no preservation.
Certify that there is no possibility of another person
moving the rotating parts of the machine manually.
For a proper and safe maintenance, we
recommend the JF special tools kit (optional item).
Note:
If you do not use special tools for
maintenance you can damage parts of the
machine or cause injuries to the operator.
The operator or technician should have a JF
machines training certificate signed up by his
instructor to use the special tools kit (sold
separately).
