2 Description

2.1 Indications for use

The 10A11=*, 10A60=*, 10A18=* Ottobock Cable Control Hooks for
Adults and 10A12=* All-purpose Hook are to be exclusively used for the
exoprosthetic fitting of the upper extremities.

2.2 Field of application

The Ottobock Cable Control Hook for Adults and All-purpose Hook are
designed for creating a cable-controlled arm prosthesis.
The models made of stainless steel are recommended for heavy stress
conditions. The hooks made of aluminium are suited for light to medium
stress conditions.

2.3 Safety instructions

Please make your patients aware of the following safety instructions:
WARNING
Risk of accident when driving a motor vehicle. An upper extremity
amputee's ability to drive a vehicle is determined on a case-by-case
basis. Factors include the type of fitting (amputation level, unilateral
or bilateral, residual limb conditions, design of the prosthesis) and the
amputee's abilities.
All persons are required to observe their country's national and state
driving laws when operating motor vehicles. For insurance purposes,
drivers should have their driving ability examined and approved by an
authorised test centre.
