4.0 HANDLING AND INSTALLATION

4.1 TRANSPORT AND UNLOADING

WARNING: If not carried out with the utmost care, lift unloading, transport and lifting operations can be dangerous: so keep all the
unauthorised persons away from lift; clean, clear and delimit the installation area; check that the available tools are suitable for use and in
good operating conditions; do not touch any suspended loads, and stay at safety distance; during transport, suspended loads shall not be
more than 20 cm from floor; thoroughly respect the following instructions; do not proceed in case of doubts or uncertainty.
For transport requirements, the lift is shipped partly disassembled in its basic components.
The different components of the packed lift are kept together by means of suitable bolted brackets to ensure easy and safe transport and handling.
Packed lift shall be transported with a fork lift having a suitable capacity.
During handling, make sure that the packed lift or the single parts are not subject to impacts or dashes. Packed lift overall dimensions and mass are
shown in Figure 8.

4.2 INSTALLATION

WARNING: All the following installation, adjustment and testing operations should be carried out only by qualified and responsible
staff operating according to the applicable electric, hydraulic, mechanic and building safety standards.
DANGER: The installation, the adjustment and the testing of the lift imply potentially dangerous operations. Therefore, all the in-
structions given below should be carefully read. In case of doubt, please contact the Manufacturer. The manufacturer disclaims any respon-
sibility in case of non compliance with the safety standards and with the accident prevention rules given in this manual.

4.3 FOUNDATIONS

The lift must be installed on a slab at least 15 mm thick of reinforced concrete with a class of no less than C10-C15 and a strength of Rck=15 N/mm².
If the floor slab does not meet these requisites, each column must stand on a base at least 600x600 mm in size and at least 15 mm thick of concrete
with a strength of Rck=15 N/mm².
The concrete platform shall be smooth and perfectly levelled in all directions, and cast on a compact ground. The overall dimensions of the full system
are given in Fig. 2.

4.4 POSITIONING AND INSTALLATION OF THE STRUCTURE

WARNING: At this stage of the installation, DO NOT perform any electrical connections.
1) When preparing the installation, leave a safety free space of at least 600 mm between the lift structure and any other fixed or moving structure already
available (Fig. 2).
2) Within the area defined for the installation of the lift, arrange the control column (3, Fig. 2) position taking into account that it shall be on the left and
opposite to the vehicle access side (Fig. 2).
3) Remove the protection cartons of the packed lift and lay the components to be mounted on the floor.

4.4.1 INSTALLATION OF THE CONTROL COLUMN

1) Fix the control board (19, Fig. 10) to column No. 3 screwing the supplied screws into the column holes.
2) Mount the FCS limit switches (Fig. 25) and connect them to the terminal board in the board, making sure that the numbering is complied with (Fig. 11).
3) Fix the hydraulic unit with the motor, screwing the supplied screws into the column holes (Fig. 10).

4.4.2 INSTALLATION OF THE STRUCTURE

1) Prepare 4 stands (1, Fig. 10) of the same height and sturdy enough to bear a 200 kg weight each (Fig. 10).
2) Lay the lifting runway P1 (2, Fig. 10) on 2 stands with the side where the pipes and cables come out facing the control column side (3, Fig. 10).
3) Lay the moving runway P2 (4, Fig. 10) on the other 2 stands with the internal edge facing runway P1.
4) Pull the 4 ropes (6, Fig.10) out of runway P1.
5) Place the two crossbeams (7, Fig. 10) at the bottom of the runway ends in a way as to place the rope passage opening toward the inside of the lift
on the runway P1 side (Fig. 10).
