GEAR
CORRECT SHIFTING
When shifting on a bike with derailleur gear,
it is important to keep pedalling consistent-
ly and effortlessly until the desired gear
is engaged. Avoid shifting while pedalling
strongly.
Hub gears (Rohloff, Shimano and NuVinci/
Enviolo) are shifted without pedalling.

Practise shifting away from traf-
fic. On the roads this would be
too distracting.
