Laminating the orthosis
Required tools and materials: 616G15 woven carbon stockinette,

17Y106 PVC profile material, 616G12 carbon fibre cloth, 99B81=* PVA
bag, 623T3=* Perlon stockinette, 636K8 Plastaband, 633W8 wax,
17LS3=* lamination bars, 617H55 C-Orthocryl lamination resin, 743R6
adjustment set for orthotic joints.
Optional: 30Y268=* lamination dummy

1) Place cut pads or separating layers on plaster model.
2) Pull a layer of Perlon stockinette over the plaster model.
3) Align the bars on the plaster model.
4) If using a lamination dummy: Fix the lamination bars to the 743Y56=4
alignment insert using the lamination dummy and the shoulder screw.
5) If not using a lamination dummy: Fix the lamination bars to the
743Y56=4 alignment insert using the base body (not illustrated).
6) Pull a PVA bag over the plaster model to isolate it.
7) Pull a layer of Perlon stockinette over the plaster model.
8) Secure the reinforced bars on the plaster model. Carry out the reinforce
ment in accordance with the patient's needs.
9) Seal the lamination dummy or base body of the joint with Plastaband. Fill
in hollow areas.
10) Pull another layer of Perlon stockinette over the plaster model.
11) Affix further reinforcement layers for the support surfaces as described
under point 8.
12) Complete reinforcement with a layer of Perlon stockinette and designer
fabric.
13) Pull on a PVA bag and apply vacuum.
14) Then laminate with C-Orthocryl lamination resin.

1) Demould the model and cut free the lamination dummy or the orthotic
joint.
2) 17LK3=10,=12,=14: Insert the lower joint section with the bushings into
the upper joint section.
