3) 17LK3=16,=20: Insert the lower joint section with the bushings and
washers into the upper joint section.
4) Fasten the joint screw and bearing nut; secure the screw connection
with Loctite 241 and tighten to the specified tightening torque (see
table).
5) Fasten the joint on the lamination bars using the screws; secure the
screw connections with Loctite 241 and tighten to the specified tighten
ing torque (see table).
Disassembling the lock

Disassemble the lock to use the orthotic knee joint as a free-moving knee
joint.
1) Unload the orthotic knee joint using the knee lever.
2) Remove the lock rings and lock washers.
3) Remove the axles.
4) Pull off the knee lever.
5) Push the lock wedge with the compression spring sideways out of the
upper joint section.
6 Cleaning
Clean the orthosis joint promptly after contact with water containing salt,
chlorine or soap, or if it gets dirty.
1) Rinse the orthosis joint with clean, fresh water.
2) Dry the orthosis joint with a cloth or allow it to air-dry. Avoid exposure to
direct heat (e.g. from an oven or radiator).
7 Maintenance
INFORMATION
The product may be exposed to increased loads by the patient.
► Shorten the maintenance intervals according to the expected loads.
The manufacturer requires at least a semi-annual inspection of the product
to verify functionality and check for wear.
Spare parts are listed in the section "Components/design".
Do not use lubricants.
