* L2: Protection device: yellow led.
Indicates cut-in of the thermal protection device or protection
due to incorrect power supply voltage. With "L2" on, an
alarm code blinks on "D1". The power source remains con-
nected to the mains but does not deliver power at the output.
Alarm codes :
15 - Overvoltage.
16 - Undervoltage.
11 - No coolant.
12 - Power module overtemperature.
22 - Wrong configuration of the card 15.14.149 or unstable
communication.
10 - No phases.
* 1 : Welding procedure selection key.
Permits selection of the welding procedure.
Switch-on of the led at the side of the symbol confirms the
selection.
Processes:
- electrode (
)
- TIG 2-STEP MODE (
- TIG 4-STEP MODE (
- TIG BILEVEL (
)
* 2 : Current regulation system key.
Selects the welding current regulation system:
- from front panel in "internal" mode
- from remote control in "external" mode
In this case via "E1" it is possible to enter the maximum cur-
rent value that can be selected via the remote control.
* 3 : LIFT/HF selection push button.
Selects the TIG DC start:
- TIG with LIFT-ARC start (
- TIG with HIGH FREQUENCY start (
The coming on of the led beside the symbol confirms the
selection.
* 4 : Key for selecting type of TIG welding current.
- CONSTANT current with or without SLOPES.
- PULSED current with or without SLOPES.
- MEDIUM FREQUENCY current with or without SLOPES.
Switch-on of the led at the side of the symbol confirms the
selection.
The MEDIUM FREQUENCY function is not enabled in AC.
* 5 : Potentiometer.
Selects the POST-GAS time and varies from 0 to 25 seconds.
* Display D1.
Displays the welding current or value of the welding parame-
ter chosen via "S5" on the graph "G1". It is used to show
alarm and error messages and to enter the set-up parameters.
* S5: SET-UP/parameters key.
Permits access to the SET-UP and welding parameter values.
When pressed at switch-on, it permits access to the set-up
parameters while the software version appears on "D1".
If pressed after the end of the welder switch-on procedure, it
selects in sequence the welding parameters presented in the
graph "G1" with value shown by "D1" and variable with "E1".

When in MEDIUM FREQUENCY operation, the leds
Tp and Tb come on simultaneously and the pulse fre-
quency value appears on the display "D1".
* Set-up parameters.
When "S5" is pressed after switch-on, the set-up menu is
accessed (confirmed by a central "0" on the display "D1")
while the software version appears on "D1". Via E1 the set-up
line is varied, via "S5" the required line is confirmed, via "E1"
the value is varied, via "S5" the value is confirmed and so on.

If we enter lines "9" and press "S5", all the set-up
parameters will go to the factory-set values.
To quit set-up and save the set values, return to line
"0" and press "S5".
Operation:
The machine stores the last welding step and pre-
sents it again when restarted.
* Position the start switch (I1) on " I "; the coming on of the vol-
tage warning light (L1) (green led) confirms that the plant is
under voltage.
* The display (D1) shows the control panel management soft-
ware version (for example 3.9) for three seconds.
* After three seconds, all the leds on the panel come on (for a
control) and the machine power (352) appears on the display
with an interval of 650 milliseconds.
* The panel leds go out and from this moment, for three
seconds, it is possible to:
-
enter the SETUP mode by pressing the SETUP/parameter
push button.
-
or go on with the welding (or with the parameter modifi-
cation).
* If selected, the SETUP mode is confirmed by a central "0" on
the display (D1).
- Rotate the encoder (E1), the display (D1) shows the num-
bers corresponding to the parameters (0÷14) in sequence,
(see SETUP/parameter push button); stop at the desired
parameter and push the SETUP/parameter push button (6).
With parameter (9) of SETUP all the modifications made in
the SETUP mode are cancelled and the standard values set
by SELCO are restored.
- The number on the display (D1) is replaced by the value of
the parameter that can be modified through the potentio-
meter (E1).
* If it is necessary to modify the values of the welding parame-
ters of the diagram (7), proceed as follows:
- Wait three seconds after the leds on the panel have gone
out, the led "I1" (welding current) will remain on in the dia-
gram.
