8 MAINTENANCE
Routine maintenance must be carried out on the system accor-
ding to the manufacturer's directions.
Any maintenance operation must be performed by qualified
personnel only.
When the equipment is working, all the access and operating
doors and covers must be closed and fixed.
No type of modification must be made to the system.
Prevent metal powder from accumulating near the aeration fins
and over them.
Disconnect the power supply before every operation!
Carry out the following periodic controls on the
power source:
* Clean the power source inside by means of low-
pressure compressed air and soft bristel brushes.
* Check the electric connections and all the connec-
tion cables.
For the maintenance or replacement of torch
component, electrode holder and/or earth cables:
* Check the temperature of the component and make
sure that they are not overheated.
* Always use gloves in compliance with the safety stan-
dards.
* Use suitable spanners and tools.
Failure to perform said maintenance will invalidate all war-
ranties and exempt the manufacturer from all liability.
9 WF104 GENERAL PRECAUTIONS
The SELCO mobile units are powered exclusively at low voltage
42 Vac, in compliance with strict international regulations.
You are nevertheless advised to observe the elementary precau-
tions illustrated in detail in the power source operating manual.
Before carrying out any work, replacement or
repair of parts, ensure that the power source is
disconnected from the power supply line.
9.1 Front control panels
*T1:
Permits bleeding of the air in the gas circuit pipes.
Fig. 18
* T2:
Permits manual wire feed (useful for passing the wire
along the torch sheath during preparation operations).
* A5 water fitting: it must be connected to the MIG torch
delivery pipe (generally blue), if the latter is water-cooled.
* A6 water fitting: it must be connected to the MIG torch
return pipe (generally red), if the latter is water-cooled.
* Connector J2: present on the trolley only as an optional (see
accessory kit). Any Push-Pull torch connector must be con-
nected to it; this torch is provided with wire tensioning motor,
and is particularly useful for welding aluminium.
* J1: remote control connector.
9.2 Rear control panel
* Socket D2: the power cable of the cable bundle coming from
the power source must be connected to this socket.
* Conector J3: the 5+2-pole connector of the cable bundle com-
ing from the power source must be connected to this connector.
* A3 water fitting: the pipe bundle delivery pipe must be con-
nected (blue).
* A4 water fitting: the pipe bundle return pipe must be con-
nected (red).
* A1: Gas fitting.
