6.4.3. Power Cut Control

The user may exit the sleep phase at any time simply by pres-
sing the < SLEEP > key.
The function of this key will thus be equivalent to activation /
deactivation of sleep operating mode.
If the key is pressed again during this sleep phase, the electro-
nic device abandons execution, returning to the initial function
display. In these conditions the sleep phase can no longer be
selected.
If a power cut takes place during execution of any process, the
data regarding the point of execution where the machine was
operating is stored internally.
When the electricity supply is restored, the electronic control
performs the initial segment test and once it is completed it
recalculates the time and starts to execute the phase it would
have to perform according to the current time.
If the power cut has lasted less than 5 minutes, the device
continues to operate without any further messages.
On the other hand, if the power cut lasted longer than 5 minu-
tes, it will continue in the phase that it should be performing but
the following message will appear on the LCD display (e.g.):
POWER FAIL
TUE. 12:32-
And 2 seconds later:
POWER FAIL
- WED 15:25
These messages indicate that the power cut took place bet-
ween the day and the time indicated.
The message will remain on the display until any key is pres-
sed.
