Observe the material safety data sheets (MSDS) of
the handled chemicals!
Wear the stipulated personal protective equipment
(protective clothing, goggles, respirator etc.) when
handling chemicals!
For commissioning, all components of the entire
system must be ready for operation.
Caution
Observe the manuals of the other components.
5.2 Functional tests
Before commissioning:

5.2.1 Checking the tightness of the change-over device
This section refers to fig.
8
and fig. 9.
Check the tightness of the whole system before startup.
If the system is equipped with a nitrogen rinsing device, check the
tightness roughly with nitrogen before performing the tightness
check.
1. Open ball valves (2).
2. For 185-2:
– Ball valves (3) of the bypass lines must be closed.
– Ball valve (4) must be opened.
3. Set main switch (S3) to "man".
4. Open battery 1: Press key (S18) until lamp (H15) lights up.
5. Close battery 2: Press key (S37) until lamp (H42) lights up.
6. Open the container valves of battery 1. Close the valves when
the contact manometer (1) shows 2 bar for Cl
1 bar for SO
.

7. Check the tightness:
– with ammonia (dosing media Cl
– with burning sulphur (dosing medium NH
For details on the leak test, see separate installation
Note
and operating instructions of the Vaccuperm system.
8. Close battery 1: Press key (S22) until lamp (H28) lights up.
9. Start the dosing unit until the contact manometer (1) shows
0 bar, then stop it.
10. Open battery 2: Press key (S32) until lamp (H29) lights up.
11. Open the container valves of battery 2. Close the valves when
the contact manometer (1) shows 2 bar for Cl
1 bar for SO
.

12. Check the tightness:
– with ammonia (dosing media Cl
– with burning sulphur (dosing medium NH
For details on the leak test, see separate installation
Note
and operating instructions of the Vaccuperm system.
13. Start the dosing unit.
14. Check the change-over function as described in the following
section.
5.2.2 Checking the change-over function
Prior to the execution of the following steps, the tightness check
of the change-over device must have been done. See section
5.2.1 Checking the tightness of the change-over
This section refers to fig.
8
and fig. 9.
1. Set main switch (S3) to "auto".
2. Open the container valves of battery 1.
3. Close the container valves of battery 2.
The pressure at the contact manometer (1) drops. When the
