5.4 Faults – Rectification of minor faults not requiring customer service
Faults affecting operation of the FALCO EVO 622/622 IT may occur in the course of normal working. The following table
lists possible faults not requiring the attention of a customer service engineer.

To take action as quickly as possible it is important to quote the details on the rating plate (label on back of
FALCO EVO 622/622 IT) and the nature of the problem when calling.

Work on the electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic system is only ever to be performed by appropriately qualified
personnel.

Faults
Tool column
Roller of mounting head blocked.
Clamping plate / rails / clamping jaws
Clamping plate will not turn in any direction.
Clamping plate turns in counter-clockwise direc-
tion.
Insufficient clamping plate
torque.
Rim not correctly held in position by rails.
Rim not correctly held in position by clamping jaws. R Make sure the grippers are in proper working order. Replace if worn.
Unseating unit
The unseating unit does not exert enough unsea-
ting force.

Roller not lubricated or dirty: Clean and then lubricate roller.
R Check whether the mains voltage corresponds to the voltage on the rating
plate.
R Check that the mains connector is properly plugged in.
Interchange 2 phases in the mains connector (qualified electrician only).
R Check whether the mains voltage corresponds to the voltage on the rating
plate.
R Check for proper connection of the phases in the connector (qualified elec-
trician only).
R Check whether the machine is properly connected to the compressed air
system.
R Check that the system pressure is not below the minimum machine opera-
ting pressure value (see Sec. 8).
R Set the machine operating pressure at the filter assembly to the values re-
commended by the manufacturer.
R Check whether the machine is properly connected to the compressed air
system.
R Check that the system pressure is not below the minimum
FALCO EVO 622/622 IT operating pressure value (see Sec. 8).
R Set the machine operating pressure at the filter assembly to the values re-
commended by the manufacturer.
R Completely deflate the tire before unseating.
