WARNING
Upon interruption of the power transmission (when the PTO drive shaft stops), some rotating parts
of the implement machine may still be moving; therefore, do not go near the machine until all
components have stopped moving.
36.
Radial pin torque limiter
This device interrupts the power transmission when the torque exceeds the set value. Disengage the
drive immediately when ratcheting sounds are heard.
37.
Shear bolt torque limiter
Disconnects the power transmission when the torque exceeds the set value. Replace the shear bolt with
a bolt that has the same dimensions and resistance class, tighten the bolt using a self-locking nut.

38.
Shear bolt torque limiter with overrunning clutch
Disconnects the power transmission when the torque exceeds the set value. The connected freewheel
eliminates power returns from the machine to the tractor during the deceleration or stop phases of
the power take-o (see items 35 - 37).
39.
Automatic cam clutch/cut out torque limiter
Disconnects the power transmission when the torque exceeds the set value. To reset the transmission,
reduce the speed or stop the motion in order to automatically obtain the re-engagement. Disengage
the drive immediately when you hear the noise caused by the release of the cams.
40.
Automatic cam clutch/cut out torque limiter with overrunning clutch
Disconnects the power transmission when the torque exceeds the set value and the connected
overrunning clutch eliminates power returns from the machine to the tractor during deceleration.
41.
Friction disc torque limiter
This device limits the torque transmission to the set value.
Verify that the overlap between the guard cone and the PTO drive shaft guard is at least 50 mm
long. Periodically check the e ciency of the friction discs and replace them after short repeated
operations or after just one single prolonged operation. In any event, replace the discs if parts of
the device show alterations in the paint due to overheating.
If the friction discs are replaced, check height h of the springs before unscrewing the nuts and then
clamp the nuts bringing the springs to the same height h.
It is advisable to replace both the friction discs and the springs at the same time. Please refer to the
instructions contained in the disc package.
After installation or a long period of inactivity, check the e ciency of the friction discs.
In these cases, the device must be unlocked, by proceeding as described here below:
• Loosen the tightening nuts of the springs by unscrewing in two complete turns;
• Manually rotate the device to unlock it;
• Re-tighten the nuts with two complete turns, restoring it to the original setting.
WARNING
The device may overheat while operating and cause burns. It is therefore necessary to keep the
torque limiter and the surrounding area clean and it is strictly forbidden to place ammable
material near it to avoid the risk of re.
Operating the device too often or for too long periods of time may generate temperatures high
enough to signi cantly increase the risk of re. The presence of smoke in the work area indicates
a malfunction. In this case, stop the transmission and make sure there is no possibility of a re
being ignited.
