Friction torque limiter with overrunning clutch
This device limits torque transmission to the set value and eliminates power returns from the
machine to the tractor during the deceleration or stop phases of the power take-o .
Please refer to items 35 and 41.

PTO drive shaft disengagement instructions
43.
When disengaging the PTO drive shaft from the tractor side (PTO), position it on the speci c
support to be found on the implement machine.
If the PTO drive shaft is removed on both sides (PTO and PIC), position it on a suitable support to
avoid damaging its components (27).
44.
Do not hang the PTO drive shaft by the restraining chains.

PTO drive shaft lubrication
WARNING
Before each lubrication, make sure that the tractor is turned o and that the keys are removed
from the ignition (11)
It is mandatory to wear suitable personal protection equipment, PPE (such as: gloves, overalls,
safety shoes, goggles, etc.) (13)
After every work session, verify that the PTO drive shaft is fully functional.
Any broken or worn parts must be replaced. The new PTO drive shafts are supplied without
grease, so they need to be fully greased before installation.
For the purpose of ensuring optimal work conditions and a longer service life of the PTO drive
shaft, it is absolutely necessary to proceed with proper greasing as per the given instructions.
Complete greasing must be carried out in any case at the beginning of each season or after a long
period of inactivity. Use grease type NLGI grade 2.
The lubrication intervals indicated below refer to average PTO drive shaft use; in case of intense
and particularly exacting conditions, or if there is a lot of dust in the workplace, lubricate more
frequently.
Additional greasing instructions may be available in the implement machine user manual.
Greasing procedure:
• Greasing the cross & bearing kit: grease using the lubricators located on the cross body or on
one of the bearings. Insert grease until it starts owing out, which will occur only after the spent
grease has been completely discharged from the four bearing seals. If this fails to happen, contact
a service center.
• Greasing the retainers of the guard: grease using the lubrication points by inserting the
rst amount of grease and then rotating the retainers 180°. Repeat the operation. Occasionally,
depending on the use, disassemble the guard, disassemble the retainers, clean the retainers and
the bearing and then grease.
• Greasing the tube:
- With grease points on the tube: close the PTO drive shaft by matching up the two holes drilled in
the tubes of the half-guards, introducing grease by means of the speci c greasers. Extend the PTO
drive shaft up to Lmax (point 31) and compress it again. Repeat the operation at least three times.
