CAUTION
Use
the
engine
oil
"Instructions for use of fuel and engine oil".
CAUTION
Carefully inspect whether the engine parts that
have been dismantled and installed again suffer
any oil leakage.
Engine oil filter element
Regularly replace the engine oil filter element as
instructed in the "Table of Regular Maintenance". The
replacing steps are as follows:
1. Completely drain the original engine oil as instructed in
section "Engine oil replacement".
2. Dismantle the two bolts 1.
3. Dismantle the engine oil filter element cap 2.
4. Take out the old engine oil filter element and install a
new one 4.
5. Replace the seal rings 3 and 6.
6. Before reinstalling the engine oil filter element cap 2,
make sure the seal rings 3 and 6, the filter element
spring 5 are all correctly installed.
7. Reinstall the engine oil filter element cap 2 and
properly tighten the bolt 1.

8. Add the specified new engine oil into the engine as
instructed in section "Engine oil replacement".
Insert the end of the engine oil filter element with
a hole into the engine and make sure the engine
oil filter element is correctly installed.
It is suggested to replace the seal rings when the
engine oil filter element is replaced.
ENGINE OIL STRAINER
Engine oil strainer should be cleaned by your SUZUKI
dealer or a qualified mechanic.
CLUTCH
Method to inspect the clutch cable
gap 5: remove the rubber bush 4
along the clutch cable, loosen the
nut 2, dismantle the protective
shell 1, operate the clutch handle
and make sure there is a gap of 4
mm before there is an apparent resistance. If the gap is
