Use only accessories and spare parts from the manufacturer. Use only
the hoses supplied by the manufacturer. Do not use old hoses.
Repairs within the lower part of the device (electrical circuits, heating)
may only be carried out by authorized electricians. Never send the
device to your supplier for repair without first cleaning it.

4. Intended use

The distilling apparatus is used for mono-distillation of tap-water. It is designed to
prepare 22pprox.. 4 litres of distilled water per hour.

5. Setup and operation

The apparatus consists of two parts: the glass part and the electrical part. Both parts
are connected by a plastic flange. The upper part of the glass vessel contains the
cooling coil (12). This upper part is separated by glass from the lower part. The vapour
is passed through a tube, which is connected with the separator. By means of the
cooling in the upper part, the vapour turns into distilled water, which runs off through
the distillate drain (1) which is positioned above the glass separator.

5.1 Setup of the instrument

Only set up the device on a solid, level surface.
Please note that temperatures of up to 50 °C can be reached under the
device.
Only set up the device in a dry environment.
The lower edge of the appliance must be horizontal and above the upper
edge of the sink.
The minimum safety distance from the water connection / water outlet should
be 1 m to avoid the risk of splashing. Never place the device closer to it!
Caution:
When connecting the instrument to an AC power outlet, ensure that
your local supply voltage corresponds to the specifications indicated
on the instrument.

5.2 Installing a reservoir bottle

In order to achieve the conductivity of the distilled water as mentioned in the
technical data, the apparatus and the reservoir bottle must form a closed system.
Carbon dioxide from the air dissolves in water and would cause an increase in
conductivity.
