• Make sure that the reservoir bottle stands beneath the distillate drain (1).
• Place the reservoir bottle to the right of the apparatus.
• To connect the distillate drain (1) with the reservoir, use the silicone tubing.

5.3 Protective cap

Unscrew the protective cap (2) and place it on the lower part of the apparatus
behind the level tube (3) for storage.
5.4 Connection of the tubing

Before use immerse the end of the PVC tubing into hot water (of approx. 80 °C) for
about 3 minutes. This will make the tubing flexible which now can be easily fitted on
the glass tubing connections.

5.4.1 Connection of the cooling water

• Fasten the end of the tubing supplied (dia. ext. 19 mm) to the bent water
connection (4) of the still body.
• Lead the tubing to the water tap and, if necessary, cut it off to suitable
length.
• Fasten this end of the tubing to the water tap.

5.4.2 Connection of the water drainage

Water from the cooling coil (12) is led to the level tube (3) which also supplies the
water to the evaporator. Surplus water is led over the overflow connection (5) to
the sink. The water level in the evaporator is displayed at the point of the overflow
connection (5) in the level tube (3).
Fasten the end of the supplied PVC hose (dia. ext. 19 mm) to the overflow

• Lead the other end of the tubing to the sink and cut it off to suitable length
if necessary.
• Put this end into the sink and secure it against falling out.
• Do not allow the hose to sag.
Attention: When fitting the tubing to the overflow connection (5), support the level
tube (3) with your other hand to avoid glass breakage.
