Rinsing of the cooling coil
•
Slowly pour approx. one litre of tap water into the funnel.
•
As soon as the water has flowed through, close the outlet valve (6)
•
Remove the funnel and reconnect the water supplying tubing with the water
tap.
•
Unscrew the protective cap (2) and keep it on the base of the apparatus
behind the level tube (3).
After cleaning
Let the apparatus run in distilling mode for one hour. Discard the distillate.
6. Dismantling and transport
In case that the instrument has to be returned to the supplier for repair, please clean
it carefully before dismantling.
6.1 Disassembly
•
Switch off the instrument by means of the rocker switch.
•
Disconnect the instrument from the mains.
•
Now you can remove the instrument from the working area.
•
Let the water run out of the apparatus completely.
•
Use the supplied Allen key 3 mm to loosen all 8 screws of the clamping ring. Please
open the screws step by step so that the pressure of the two-part clamping ring
on the glass parts is released evenly. This will prevent breakage due to uneven
pressure on the glass part.
•
Loosen the screws completely.
•
Lift the glass part with one hand and the clamping ring with the other.
•
Then remove the silicone O-ring from the flange of the glass part.
6.2 Transport
Place the instrument and its parts in its original packaging or in a suitable container to
protect it during transport. Close the packaging with adhesive tape.
In case you do not use the original packaging, please mark the box with the following
notes:
● Glass symbol (Fragile! Handle with care!)
● Umbrella (Keep dry!)
● Content (List of content)
