5.7 Interruption of water supply

If there is insufficient supplying of water or if the water flow is interrupted, vapour
escapes from the degassing outlet (10). The water level in the evaporator declines.
After approx. 5 minutes the heater will be switched off automatically.
Attention:
• Turn off the water tap
• Switch off the apparatus (7) and allow the apparatus to cool down for at least
15 minutes
• Correct the malfunction in the water supply.
• Switch off the temperature limit: take a piece of non-conducting material
(length at least 50 mm and max. outside diameter 3 mm), insert it into the hole
(11) on the reverse side of the lower part of the apparatus and press slightly
inwards. Then remove the piece.
• To continue distilling, now repeat the steps described from 5.5.

5.8 To switch off

• Press the main switch (7). The green pilot lamp goes out.
• Close the water tap.
• Pull out mains supply plug out of the mains socket.
Attention: The water still must have cooled down completely before the remained
water can be drained through the outlet valve (6). After that close the outlet valve.

5.9 Cleaning

Deposits (e.g. lime) can arise during the distillation process on the interior parts of the
evaporator (8). This gradually reduces the quality of the distillate.
In case of considerable deposits in the evaporator or when the quality of the distillate
no longer meets the requirements for the intended application, the evaporator must
be cleaned. In case of heavy deposits in the cooling coil, they must be cleaned at a
later time, however, these deposits do not affect the quality of the distillate.
The producer cannot accept any warranty claims if the heater is damaged as a result
of overheating because the apparatus has not been sufficiently cleaned.
