5- Adjusts of operation

5.1- PTO speed

During operation the PTO speed must remain constant
at 540 rpm.
There are four ways to find out the engine speed to get
540 rpm in the PTO:
- Check for a possible indication in the tachometer of the
tractor. See example in the figure on the right.
- Check whether some decal of the tractor has such
information.
- Refer to your tractor's manual.
- If doubt remains, use a tachometer, like the one
illustrated on the right, direct in the PTO shaft.

5.2- Length of particles setup

The JF Forage Chopper can cut in two particles size:
Lengths of 5 and 13 mm (standard) and 8 and 13 mm
(optional).
Move the lever to the desired particles size.
To facilitate the mechanism coupling rotate the machine
manually with the cardan uncoupled and without
product in the feeder drums.
Whenever you turns off the machine, put the lever in the
N (neutral), to avoid accidents.
