OPERATION TECHNICAL MANUAL - FORAGE CHOPPER JF 40 - JF 50 - JF 60 MAXXIUM
- Put one knife at each time in the rotor. Always
remember that the same need stay locked by a
appropriate wood block.
- Place bolts and nuts without tighten they.
- Displace the knife near the counterknive allowing a
minimum play between them. JF recommends 0,05 to
0,15 mm play.
- Tighten nuts uniformly.
- Rotate the rotor manually and carefully to certify that
any knife touch on counterknife.

7.6- Counterknife

If the counterknife (1) is worn, with the edge rounded,
invert it to use the other side.
When the other side is rounded too, replace it.
Note: The rounded edge counterknife cause
unlevel cut and waste driving power.
The counterknife is fastened by nuts on lower part. To
remove it use a 5/8" "L" wrench.
The counteknife has a fixed assembly position, thus do
not allows adjustings.
After the counterknife assembly, check the play in
relation to knifes. Proceed the adjustments as need.
