Cutter bar maintenance: Grease the blade movement block using the greaser every 4 working hours (fig. 8).
The transmission box should also be greased every 4 working hours using the greaser on the side of the guard.
Keep the blade correctly adjusted by regulating the blade holders; they must not be so tight that they lock the
blade, but the clearance in relation to the teeth plates must not be excessive. To adjust the blade holders on
both types, back off the holder retainer screw by the necessary amount as shown in fig. 7 - 9 - 10.
The blade holders should be replaced when worn even if they are still able to apply pressure.
Regulate the clearance between the blade and the wear strip by loosening the screws securing the strip
retainers and moving the strip forward until it touches the bar holding the blade sections in place. Then
retighten the strip retainers. To remove the blade, take out the screws (fig. 8), remove the blade
connection and slip off the blade. Take care to tighten the fixing screws of the coupling after fitting the
blade again. Always use sharp blades: the machine will not strain and will last longer.
After every working day wash the cutter bar removing any remaining piece of grass or mud; check
occasionally that all screws are tightened.
IMPLEMENTS
SNOWTHROWER
This implement (fig.11) has been especially designed for this machine, it is very useful for freeing open
spaces, garage entrances, etc. from snow.
It is made up of a turbine rotary unit enclosed in a special housing opened on the front, which rotating at
high speed collects snow and throws it out through an adjustable inclined expulsion tube. The snow can
thus be thrown 8-10 metres away in all directions (right, left, forward and all the intermediate positions).
The snowthrower is attachable to the snap coupling flange for implements.
The snowthrower is 60 cm. wide and can clear snow up to 40 cm deep.
If the snow is very wet it is better to keep the ejector tube pointed forward to avoid blockages at the outlet.
The two side skids should be adjusted in order that they just skim the ground if this is level (asphalted
streets), or to keep the snowthrower raised if the ground is uneven.
Maintenance: after use, it is always advisable to remove any snow from the snowthrower in order to
prevent it blocking the turbine wheel in the event of freezing.
ROTARY CUTTER
The rotary blade lawn mower for the GF2 motormower (fig.12) has been designed for the maintenance
of large parks and gardens for which a traditional mower would not be economical.
In fact the high power available, the driving wheels and three working speeds allow operation in the most
difficult conditions without operator fatigue and with a remarkable saving of time.
The rotary cutter is attachable to the implement frame of the machine. The movement is transmitted to
the blade by means of a pair of bevel gears. The blade is equipped with a release device so that it cannot
drag the machine with its force of inertia when the clutch is engaged.
Cutting height can be regulated adjusting the position of the little wheel of the rotary cutter, or of the lateral
rams, thus changing the blade height from the ground. If the grass is very height, please remove the front
wheel and use the lateral rams.
Maintenance: always keep the blade well sharpened: it will cut better and the engine will not strain. When
removing or fitting the blade, always tighten the locking screws completely.
Check the gearbox oil level every 50 working hours by removing the cap situated on the top of the box
and make sure that the oil level reaches at least 50mm. from the hole; if the level is lower, add 80W/90
gearbox oil.
Change the oil once a year.
WHEEL SPACERS
These are used for widening the track and thus increasing the machine's stability when working across
slopes. They are mounted between the wheels and the wheel hubs (fig.13).
