4. Remove the screws (2) that secure the switch­bank
(1) to the I/P (4).
NOTE: Only disconnect the switch­bank assembly
wiring harness connector by following the specific
steps following this step.
5. Using a trim stick C­4755 or equivalent, gently pry be­
tween the switch­bank assembly (1) and the instru­
ment panel to release the snap retainers (located at
3) that secure the switch­bank assembly (1) to the in­
strument panel and pull away from instrument panel
for access to remove the connector using the fol­
lowing steps:
CAUTION: Never pull the connector out by the wires.
Failure to follow these instructions will damage or
break the wires and/or connector.
CAUTION: Push the 40 way connector in before push­
ing on the locking clip. Failure to follow these instruc­
tions will damage or break the connector locking clip.
6. Push in on the 40 way connector (1) of the switch­bank
assembly.
7. Gently push down on the connector release lock (1).
