NOTE: The side trim panels can be removed in con­
junction with the lower liftgate trim panel.
42. Using trim stick C­4755 or equivalent, disengage the
side trim panel (2, 3) retaining clips.
43. Using trim stick C­4755 or equivalent, pry around the
perimeter of the lower trim panel (1) to disengage the
retaining clips.
44. Position the lower trim panel (1) slightly away from
the door and disconnect the wiring harness connector
from the liftgate lamp (2).
45. Remove the lower trim panel (1).
46. Using a small trim tool or equivalent, separate the
pushpin fasteners (1) from the upper trim panel (2).
Repeat on the opposite side.
