BURNER-SPECIFIC INFORMATION
BURNERS
● The burner must be installed in a room with minimum ventilation apertures as defined by the standards
in force or, in any case, large enough to ensure perfect combustion.
● Only burners constructed according to the standards in force may be used.
● This burner must only be used for the purpose for which it has been designed.
● Before connecting the burner make sure that identification data corresponds with the available power
source (electrical, gas, light oil, or other fuel).
● Do not touch the hot parts of the burner. Such parts, usually positioned near the flame or any fuel
preheating unit, become very hot when the unit is working and remain hot a long time after shutdown.
● Should you decide to shut down the burner definitively the following tasks must be carried out by a
qualified technician:
a) Disconnect from electrical power source by removing the main switch power lead.
b) Close off the fuel supply via the cut-off valve and remove the control dials from their seats.
IMPORTANT
● Make sure that the technician who installed the burner has fixed it securely to the boiler so that the flame
is generated insider the boiler combustion chamber.
● Before starting the burner, or at least once a year, have a qualified technician carry out the following:
a) Calibration of burner fuel flow-rate according to the power required by the boiler.
b) Adjustment of combustion air delivery flow-rate to obtain fuel efficiency at least equal to the legal
minimum.
c) Check combustion so as to keep the formation of harmful or environmentally damaging unburned
gases within legal limits.
d) Check that adjustment and safety devices are working properly.
e) Check that the combustion fume outtake flue is working efficiently.
f)
After carrying out any adjustments make sure that all mechanical components are securely tightened.
g) Make sure that the use and maintenance manual is kept in the room where the boiler is installed.
● Should the burner lock out (i.e. shut down) repeatedly do not insist with the manual reset: contact a
qualified technician.
● Maintenance work must only be carried out by professionally qualified personnel in compliance with
the standards in force.
