INFORMATION ON POWER SOURCES

ELECTRICAL POWER SUPPLY

● The electrical system may only be considered safe when it has been connected to an efficient earth
system which complies with safety standards in force. It is highly important that this essential safety
requisite be checked carefully. Should you have any doubts, have a professionally qualified technician
carry out a thorough check of your entire electrical system as the Manufacturer cannot be held liable for
any damages caused by failure to install a proper earth connection. Have the technician check that the
electrical power supply is suitable for the maximum unit absorption given on the identification plate. In
particular, the technician should check that wiring cross-section meets unit absorption requirements.
● Do not use adapters, multiple plugs or any extension leads to connect up the power supply.
To connect up to the mains fit an omnipolar switch as per the safety standards in force.
● Using any component which runs on electricity involves observance of the following important regulations:
-
do not touch any wet or damp parts of the unit and/or when you are barefoot.
-
never tug the wiring.
-
do not expose the unit to atmospheric agents (sun, rain etc) unless expressly allowed.
-
never allow children or inexpert persons to use the unit.
● The power lead must not be replaced by the user.
If the lead is damaged switch off the unit, and contact a professionally qualified technician to have the
lead replaced.
● Should you decide not to use the boiler for some time disconnect by turning the main switch to OFF and
disconnect all components which use electricity (pumps, burners etc.) from the mains.
GAS, LIGHT OIL OR OTHER FUEL SUPPLY
● The burner must only be installed by professionally qualified personnel in compliance with the standards
in force: incorrect installation may cause damage to persons, animals or objects. The Manufacturer
cannot be held liable for any such damages.
● Before installing the burner it is recommended that you thoroughly clean all the fuel lines so as to
remove any residue that might compromise burner performance.
● When using the burner for the first time have a professionally qualified technician carry out the following
checks:
a) check fuel lines for proper internal and external seal.
b) check that fuel delivery rate is adjusted according to required burner power.
c) check that burner is fed with the right kind of fuel.
d) check that fuel pressure is within the range stated on the identification plate.
e) check that fuel line is sized to provide the flow-rate required at the burner and that all safety devices
and controls required by law have been fitted.
● Should you decide not to use the burner for a prolonged period close the fuel cock(s).
