2. Installation

Preparation
1. If a Common Rail pump is being tested ensure the HB378 Common Rail Bas Kit and ring bracket
APB245 are mounted to the bedplate of the AVM2-PC prior to attempting to fit the LSDU (ADC298
Lubricated Service Drive Unit).
2. Remove the drive guide 182-18-17 from the AVM2-PC anti-backlash coupling if fitted.
3. Push the e-stop to apply the air brake.
4. Apply small amount of grease to pin as shown in fig 4 below.
Fit Drive Spindle section to AVM2-PC anti-backlash coupling as shown in fig 4 below.
5. Insert Drive Spindle into anti-backlash coupling as shown in fig 4 below.
6. Align holes in Drive Spindle with threaded holes in anti backlash coupling. Fit 2 bolts (M12 x 40 SKT
CAP) and tighten to 80NM.
Fit the LSDU to the APB245 Ring Bracket (Ensure that the ring bracket is securely fitted to the AVM2-PC
Test stand bed).
7. Remove oil fill pipe from terry clip fitted to the ADC298 Lubricated Service Drive Unit.
8. Align ADC298 Lubricated Service Drive Unit with the ring bracket APB245 with terry clip uppermost
and fit to dowel pins on ring bracket APB245.
9. Tighten 3 bolts securing the Lubricated Service Drive unit to the ring bracket.
10. Re-fit the oil pipe to the terry clip as shown in fig 5 below.
