4 Installation
Inspection
In case any damage is noticed after unpacking the device, please immediately contact your
local distributor. DO NOT USE the device!
Take the EN-Dynamic and any extra parts out of the packaging and check everything for possible
•
transport damage.
Place your device on a flat and hard surface. With an uneven or soft floor you must take measures
•
so that the device cannot rock during use.
Read this manual carefully before using the equipment.
•
Mains supply connections must comply with the national requirements regarding medical rooms.
•
Prior to connection of this apparatus to the mains supply, check that the voltage and frequency
•
stated on the type plate correspond with the available mains supply.
Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, excessive dust, moisture, mechanical vibrations and shocks.
•
The EN-Dynamic must be installed in such a way that its use is not limited by other objects. Keep at
•
least 1 m free around the unit.
Do not use the EN-Dynamic in "wet rooms".
•
Installation requirements EN-Dynamic
Use of any other cable other than the supplied cable is strictly PROHIBITED as it
affects patient safety and the proper function of the device.
Make certain that the device is electrically grounded by connecting only to a grounded
electrical service receptacle conforming to the applicable national and local electrical codes.
The installation requirements for EN-Dynamic are:
Accessibility of the room, i.e.
•
Doors of at least 85 cm width
•
Preferably no stairs (units weigh up to 265 kg !!)
•
When elevators are being used, check the doorway, the weight capability and the sizes of the
•
elevator (a Squat is 250 cm long!)
For the EN-Dynamic installation one needs
Enough wall outlets, one for every EN-Dynamic unit and one for the compressor
•
A skirtboard where the air tubes can be put in (e.g. tehalit boards. The air tubes have an 8 mm
•
diameter).
The compressor is whispering silent, thus it can be installed in the same room as the EN-Dynamic
units. It however can also be installed in a separate room.
If the institute has its own air supply system, assure there is 8.5 – 9.5 bar pressure. Less pressure (up to
6 bar) will result in longer setting time of the units, and the maximal performance (maximal resistance
setting) cannot be achieved.
