RS485 COMMUNICATION (system serial)
This is the communication bus between the various elements that will make up the VMF
system. The communication is supported by Standard RS485 via the RTU standard ModBus
communication protocol (8N2).
The network has a single master (VMF-RCC Panel) and a variable number of slaves:
 Max 10 master fan coils with VMF-E1/E18/FCL/T-Touch controls
 Max 3 MZC
 VMF-DHW domestic hot water power board
 A heat pump (with Modu_Control, GR3, pCO2, pCO5+ control board) or the MultiControl
system
 Max 4 VMF-CRP expansions (Boiler/Recovery units and Circulator pumps)
 Max 3 VMF-REB expansions for radiant head control
The maximum length of the physical connection will be identified as follows:
 1000 m with transmission speed equal to 19200 bit/s
VMF-RCC PANEL (Residential Central Control)
The VMF-RCC panel can be used to implement a hydronic system as it guarantees the
following features:
 Supervision of a fan coils network
 MZC plenum supervision
 Chiller unit/heat pumps control
 Management of the DHW
 Management of zone circulator pumps
 Management of a boiler and 3 recovery units
 Chronothermostat
 Optimisation of consumption through VMF algorithm
The structure of the various menus and displays of the developed panel is designed to be
functional and user-friendly in a way to make the system versatile and easy to understand for
the final user.
