5.3 - Compressed Air Tubing

It is recommended to use a specific weft hose for compressed air according to the following instructions:
− Up to 10 meters: use 1/4" hose;
− From 10 to 20 meters: use 5/16" hose.
Do not use hoses for installations where the distance from the connection piping between the compressor
and the equipment is more than 20 meters. In these cases, it is recommended that a specialist be consulted for
the correct sizing of the compressor and the type of piping to be used.
The main valve of the compressed air must be easy to access and located near the equipment.

5.4 - Water for the Water Unit

The water network must have easy and close access to the equipment. The water pressure must be
between 2.8 and 4.0 bar and ideal PH (Power of Hydrogen) between 6.5 and 8. If the water pressure of your
network is not enough, we recommend that you consult a professional for its evaluation.
The water filter use is recommended for equipment's hydraulic system protection.

5.5 - Water for the Water Tank

The water used in the tank must be filtered and potable. It is recommended to use mineral water, which
can easily be obtained in any market, but also can use public water, provided it is filtered and boiled.
The contact with clean and filtered water offers no known risk to the user or the patient, but the
use of sanitized gloves is recommended to fill the tanks and avoid cross-contamination.

5.6 - Sewage System

The sewage system must present good hydraulic declivity and should preferably be installed underground.
The nominal diameter of the tubing must be Ø40 mm.

5.7 - Electrical Installation

The power grid must be single-phase, has specific grounding and exclusive 10 A/30 mA DR circuit breaker.
The circuit breaker must only supply the dental equipment and must be easy and quick to disconnect from the
mains.
If the power grid presents voltage variation, the installation of a surge protection device is required. There
is a table below for sizing the electrical installation:
Voltage (V)
118/127/220/230
Do not connect any other equipment on the dental equipment's exclusive power supply.
This equipment should only be connected to a power source with protective grounding. There's an
electric shock risk!
