AND
Power indicator light not illuminated.
OVERHEATING
Unit shuts down and is unresponsive.
AND
Power light is off.
ANIMAL REVIVES AFTER STUNNING
Occasionally, an animal may revive after
stunning – even some hours later.
TROUBLESHOOTING
POSSIBLE CAUSE / REMEDY
Disconnect the power cord from the mains and
contact an approved service engineer.
POSSIBLE CAUSE / REMEDY
The unit will automatically turn off if it overheats.
This is perfectly normal and is designed to
protect the system. If the unit overheats, it is
likely that it has been used to stun many animals
in quick succession with a high stun current.
Wait for the unit to cool down – it will power up
again once cooled.
Reduce the maximum stun current by reducing
the salt concentration of the water.
POSSIBLE CAUSE / REMEDY
Check water level – if it is too high, the stun
won't be as effective.
Lobsters: in most cases, the short cycle (lobster
button) should be sufficient. However, size,
freshness and the season in which the animal is
caught can affect this. If the lobster shows signs
of reviving before you cook it, stun using the
long cycle (crab button).
