4.4- PTO cardan shaft

4.4.1- Cardan shaft length

Depending on the tractor used, it may be necessary to adjust the length of the cardan
shaft. Check and, if necessary, cut the shaft, proceed as described below (see the
instructions for the cut in the cardan shaft manual).

Start the hydraulics and position the machine's shaft at the same height as the
tractor power take-off (see figure below).

2.
Separate the two cardan shaft parts (male and female).
3.
Couple the male side on the machine and the female side on the tractor.
4.
Place the cardan shaft parts (male and female) parallel to each other. In this position,
there must be a maximum clearance of 25 mm (see picture above).
If there is no gap indicated, it is necessary to cut the cardan shaft, proceeding as follows:
