Chapter 2. Machine installation

2.1. Transport and positioning

Handle with great care during transport and positioning!
Wear protective gloves while handling the machine.
Cut the strap with scissors, making sure you protect your eyes by wearing glasses and withdraw the cardboard
(figure 2.1.A page 65).
Remove the waste film rewinder.
Take away the box (A) which contains the trolley (figure 2.1.B page 65).
Take away the reel support (C) (figure 2.1.B page 65).
Take away the roller conveyor (B) (figure 2.1.B page 65).
Unscrew the 4 fastening screws (D) of the pallet, putting the 4 plates (E) back inside the machine (figure 2.1.B page
65).
Assemble the trolley (figure 2.1.C page 65).
Lift the machine by means of a fork lift truck and place it on its trolley, making sure that the 4 feet are properly
inserted in their housings (figure 2.1.D page 65).
If it is transported by hand, 5 people are required for its transportation.
When lifting the machine, always grip it by the ends and never by the reel support (15).
To position the reel support (15) follow the instructions below (figure 2.1.E page 65):
Remove the adhesive tape (A) fixing the guides trolley.
Place the reel support (15) on the appropriate guides.
Get over the blocking device (B) with a tool (for example a screw driver).
Position the waste film rewinder according to the attached instructions.
Position the roller conveyor, coupling it to the conveyor belt (figure 2.1.F page 66).

2.2. Environmental conditions

Place the machine level on the floor in a suitable environment free from humidity, gases, explosives, combustible
materials.
Leave a minimum space of 200mm around the machine so that not to obstruct air inlets (figure 2.2. page 66).
Once the correct position is achieved, lock the machine by means of the wheel brakes.
Working environment conditions:
Temperature from + 5°C to + 40°C
Relative humidity from 30% to 90%, without condensation
The lighting of the operation room shall comply with the laws in force in the country where the machine is installed.
However, it shall be uniform and allow good visibility in order to safeguard the operator's safety and health.
MACHINE PROTECTION FACTOR = IP20
THE AIRBORNE NOISE MADE BY THE MACHINE IS LOWER THAN 70 dB

2.3. Electrical connections

OBSERVE HEALTH AND SAFETY REGULATIONS!
If the machine is not equipped with the power supply plug, use a plug that is suitable for the voltage and
amperage values described by the rating plate and that can comply with the rules in force in the installation
country.
GROUNDING OF THE UNIT IS OBLIGATORY! (figure 2.3. page 66).
Before making electrical connections, make sure the mains voltage matches the one on the plate on machine rear and
that the ground contact complies with the safety rules in force.
In case of doubts about the mains voltage, contact the local power supply company.
