Operating Instructions SATA Automatic Gun
■ Unscrew four cheese-head screws [11-8] using an Allen key.
• Take the nozzle head [11-7] from the gun body [11-6].
Material side [12]
• Screw the seal retainer [12-2] out of the nozzle head [12-1] using a
socket spanner [12-3].
Air side [13]
• Screw the seal retainer [13-2] out of the gun body [13-1] using a screw-
driver [13-3].
• Check seal retainer for damage and soiling, clean or replace if neces-
sary.
Mount new paint needle seal retainer
Material side [12]
• Screw the seal retainer [12-2] into the nozzle head [12-1] using a sock-
et spanner [12-3].
Air side [13]
• Screw the seal retainer [13-2] into the gun body [13-1] using a screw-
driver [13-3]. Secure with Loctite 242.
• Position the nozzle head [11-7] on the gun body [11-6].
• Tighten the four cheese-head screws [11-8] crosswise.
• Insert the paint needle [11-5].
• Position both springs [11-3], [11-4].
• Screw on the end cap [11-2].
• Screw on the regulating cap [11-1].
• Adjust the material flow if necessary (see chapter 9.2).
10.4. Replacing spindles of round/flat fan control
The procedure is the same for both spindles.
Dismantle spindle
• Unscrew the countersunk screw [14-3].
• Remove the control knob [14-2].
• Unscrew the spindle [14-1] using the SATA universal spanner.
Mount new spindle
