OPERATION

During the fi rst use, and when the water in the tank runs out, to facilitate priming the pump and the fl ow
of the liquid, position a cup under the steam delivery tube. Open the steam delivery dial (15) and push
the switch (17) until water comes out. Then, turn off the switch (17) and close the steam delivery dial
(15).
1 ....MACHINE PREPARATION
Before connecting the appliance to the mains, make certain that the switch (16) is in the
"off" position and that the steam delivery dial (15) is closed (Fig. E) (turn clockwise).
• Remove the lid of the tank (8) and pour no more than 1.5 liters of cold water into the tank (7).
If the water tank (7) is removed from the body of the apparatus, when repositioning it make certain to
reinsert it correctly.
• Make certain that the pin of the tank (7) is correctly inserted in the tank connection (10) (Fig. F).
It is possible to fi ll and top-up the tank (7) by removing only the lid (9) (Fig. G), making certain to not pour
in too much water.
• Connect the appliance to the electrical mains making certain that the system specifi cation is equivalent to
the technical data listed on the tag located on the bottom of the appliance..
2 ....PRE-HEATING
To make good coffee, at the right temperature, the machine must be very hot.
• Press the switch (16) to turn on the machine.
• Insert the fi lter holder (2a) or the capsule fi lter holder (2b) on the hub (6) (as illustrated in Fig. H1) and turn
it to the right until it is in a front-facing position in order to lock it on correctly (Fig. H2).
• Set a cup on the grill (3) under the fi lter holder spout.
• Wait for the LED (17a) to turn on, and then press the switch
• To stop the water fl ow, press the switch (17) again.
