27. Using the tie wraps supplied in the kit, secure the hood
ajar switch harness to the existing vehicle harness.
NOTE: Selfadjustment of the hood ajar switch
is a onetime feature.

must be replaced with a new unit.
28. Position the hood ajar switch (1) near the hole in the
mounting bracket (2) on the left inner fender side
shield.
29. Pull the wire harness connector (3) through the switch
mounting bracket (2) and connect it to the hood ajar
switch (1).
30. From the top of the mounting bracket, press the hood
ajar switch downward (1) into the mounting hole of the
bracket until the integral switch latch tabs lock it into
place.
WIN REPLACEMENT AND WIN ANTENNA INSTALLATION
WARNING: To avoid serious or fatal injury on vehicles
equipped with airbags, disable the Supplemental
Restraint System (SRS) before attempting any
steering wheel, steering column, airbag, seat belt
tensioner,
impact sensor,
component diagnosis or service.
isolate the battery negative (ground) cable, then wait
two minutes for the system capacitor to discharge
before performing further diagnosis or service. This
is the only sure way to disable the SRS. Failure to
take the proper precautions could result in accidental
airbag deployment.
1. Tilt the steering wheel down.
2. Grasp the upper edge of the cluster bezel, pull up and
rearward.
3. Remove the bolts (3) from the drivers side hush panel
(2).
