Motor Assembly:
1. Secure the body of the (12) Rotor in a vise so that the
threaded end is facing upwards. Place the (13) Spacer onto
the (12) Rotor.
2. Place the (08) O-Ring onto the (14) Front End Plate.
3. Press fit the rear (17) Ball Bearing into the (14) Front End
Plate with the Bearing Press Tool. Then press the (15) spring
pin onto (14) Front End Plate. Assemble the bearing/plate
assembly onto the (12) Rotor.
4. Apply 1-2 drops of Loctite™ #567 onto threads of (12) Rotor
and Install the (18) Bevel Pinion onto the rotor.
5. Oil the four (21) Rotor Blades with a quality pneumatic tool oil
and place in the slots of (12) Rotor.
6. Use the Bearing Press Tool so that it pushes against the
outer race of the (23) Ball Bearing and install it into the (22)
Rear End Plate with the arbor press. Then assemble two (15)
spring pin onto the (22) rear end plate.
7. Place the (18) Bevel Pinion on the tool plate of the arbor
press so that the rear portion of the rotor is pointing up.Install
the (20) Cylinder so that it rests against the (14) Front End
Plate. Note: Make sure that the air inlet passage of the cylin-
der will properly aligned with the air inlet passage in the (22)
Rear End Plate.
8. Use the Bearing Press Tool pushes on the inner race of the
(23) Ball Bearing and install the rear Bearing/plate assembly
onto the rotor. Important: Carefully press the rear bearing/
plate assembly onto the rotor until it touches the (20)
Cylinder. A "snug" fit should exist between the (22) Rear End
Plate and (20) Cylinder. If pressed to tightly the Rotor will not
run smoothly and will cause damage to the bearings. If the
pressed assembly isn't positioned, the bearing preload will
not be achieved properly.
9. Align the spring pin of the motor assembly with the gap on the
(01) Throttle Handle and slide the motor Assembly into the
Throttle Handle Assembly. Make sure the spring pin engages
the hole in the Throttle Handle.
10. Coat the threads of the (34) Lock Nut with a small amount of
Loctite™ 567 (or equivalent) and use a 36mm or an adjust-
able wrench on the (34) Lock Nut while holding the angle
housing stationary with one hand to connect the angle head
assembly to the (01) Throttle Handle.
Orbital Head Assembly:
1. Install the (35) Counterweight onto the (26) Arbor, aligning the
screw hole with the pilot hole on the shaft.
2. Apply a small amount of the Loctite™ 567 (or equivalent) to
the threads of the (36) Set Screws.
3. Use a (53) 2.0mm L Shape Hex. Wrench to install the (36)
Set Screw into the (35) Counterweight and secure the coun-
terweight to the (26) Arbor.
4. Apply 1-2 drops of SOOIN-LOK 320 (or equivalent) on the
outer diameter surface of (38) Ball Bearings. Use the Bearing
Press Tool to assemble two (38) Ball Bearings into the (37)
Balancer Shaft.
5. Install the (39) Snap Ring into the (37) Balancer Shaft.
6. Install the Balancer Shaft assembly onto the (26) Arbor.
7. Apply a drop of the Loctite™ 567 (or equivalent) onto the
threads of the (40) Hex Socket Button Head Screw. Hold
the (35) Counterweight stationary with a (53) L Shape Hex.
Wrench by placing the wrench into the (36) Set Screw. Use
a (45) 2.5mm L Shape Hex. Wrench to tighten the (40) Hex
Socket Button Head Screw into the (26) Arbor.
8. Install the (41) Boot and the (46 or 49 ) Plate, aligning the
screw holes.
9. Apply a drop of Loctite™ 567 (or equivalent) on four (47
or 50) Hex. Socket Screws. Install the four (47 or 50) Hex.
Socket Screws to secure the (46 or 49 ) plate, (41) Boot and
the (37) Balance Shaft.
10. Install the (42) Boot Clamp around the (41) Boot to secure the
boot with the (24) Arbor Casing.
11. Install the pad.
