■ Insert the bushing [15‑5] in the agitator shaft crossbeam [15‑4].
■ Push the agitator shaft crossbeam with bushing onto the agitator shaft
[15‑7].
■ Screw the agitator shaft firmly to the cover.
■ Insert the taper pin [15‑6] in the agitator shaft crossbeam.
■ Mount the snap ring [15‑1].
■ Push the agitator blade [15‑2] onto the agitator shaft.
■ Tighten the hex nut [15‑3] to the agitator blade at the bottom.
■ Mount the cover with pneumatic / electric agitator with gear on the mate-
rial pressure tank.
■ Close the material pressure tank (see chapter 10.4).
11.6. Replace gland packing, O-ring and brass bushing
SATA paint set 10 and SATA FDG 24 / 48 with manual agitator
Disassembly:
■ Open the material pressure tank (see chapter 10.4).
■ Remove the cover with manual agitator.
■ Remove the hand crank [16‑3] from the agitator shaft [16‑2].
■ Loosen the grub screw [16‑10] in the upper collet [16‑4].
■ Pull the upper collet from the agitator shaft.
■ Unscrew the gland [16‑5].
■ Remove the O-ring [16‑9] from the gland.
■ Pull the agitator shaft down out of the hub [16‑6].
SATA FDG 24 / 48 only
■ The washer [16‑1] can remain on the agitator shaft.
■ Take the gland packing [16‑8] out of the hub.
■ Possibly drive the brass bushing [16‑7] up out of the hub.
Assembly:
Damage from unsuitable tools
Unsuitable tools can damage the brass bushing during assembly.
→ Insert the brass bushing carefully, using a special tool.
■ Possibly insert the brass bushing [16‑7] in the hub [16‑6].
■ Push the agitator shaft [16‑2] into the hub from below.
■ Insert the O-ring [16‑9] in the gland [16‑5].
■ Wind three graphite cords [16‑8] around the agitator shaft and press
into the hub.
