Cooking instructions
1
To achieve the desired temperature range for cooking food in your Firebox,
adjust the burner settings on your gas barbecue, or adjust vents if using a
charcoal grill. Please note heating times may vary depending on your
barbecue, for best results the Firebox temperature dial should read in the
"ideal zone".
2
Use approx 2 tbsp flour to dust your wooden pizza peel and disperse over
the surface evenly. Remove any excess flour.
Once rolled out, place your dough on to the floured wooden peel. Make
3
your pizza using your selected sauce and toppings. Be careful not to spill the
sauce or toppings onto the peel as this may cause your dough to stick to it.
4
Place your Wooden peel mid-way into your Firebox, use a quick back and
forth motion while removing the peel to place the pizza into your Firebox.
Please remember your Firebox will be very hot and failure to use the
wooden pizza peel to place the pizza into the cooking chamber could
cause serious injury.
5
Once inside the cooking chamber your pizza will begin to cook. Your Firebox
is hotter at the back. Rotate the Pizza every 20-30 seconds by sliding the
spatula accessory underneath the pizza and turning to help achieve
an even bake.
6
Once satisfied that the pizza is cooked to your requirements (approx 3-5
minutes depending on your barbecue and thickness of your dough) you can
remove it from your Firebox using the Metal peel.
7
Using the pizza cutter accessory - slice the pizza and enjoy!
8
To clean the pizza stone DO NOT use cleaning agents or liquids. Instead
maintain the heat in your Firebox for 15 minutes after you have finished
cooking and scrape out any remaining residue with the Spatula or Metal peel,
and leave it ready for next time.
9
As detailed in the safety warnings once your Firebox is completely cooled,
remove from the barbecue and store until next use.
NOTE: Accessories available separately.
