6. Fault finding

6.1 Modbus TCP/BACnet IP

You can detect faults in a module by observing the
status of the two status LEDs. See the tables below.
CIM 500 fitted in a Grundfos product
Fault (LED status)
1.
Both LEDs remain off when
the power supply is
connected.
2.
LED2 is flashing red.
3.
LED2 is permanently red.
4.
LED1 is permanently red.
5.
LED1 is permanently red and
green at the same time.
6.
LED2 is permanently red and
green at the same time.

Possible cause
a)
The module is fitted
incorrectly in the Grundfos
product.
b)
The module is defective.
a)
No internal communication
between the module and the
Grundfos product.
a)
The module does not support
the Grundfos product
connected.
a)
Fault in the Modbus/BACnet
configuration of the module.
a)
Error in firmware download.
a)
Memory fault.
Remedy
Check that the module is
fitted/connected correctly.
Replace the module.
Check that the module is fitted
correctly.
Contact the nearest Grundfos
company.
Modbus: Check that SW1 is set to
"1". Check that the Modbus IP
address configuration is correct.

BACnet: Check that SW1 is set to
"2". Check that the BACnet IP
address configuration is correct.

Use the web server to download
the firmware again. See section
