4.2.1 NOT PROTECTED STARTING MODE
WARNING: Use this mode only in the extreme
case when you have to start a vehicle without
battery or with highly discharged battery; before operation under
these conditions, always read the vehicle instructions manual.
In this mode, the output clamps are not protected neither against
short-circuit nor against polarity reversal.
WARNING: follow the instructions carefully
according the order given below!
Never allow the red and black clamps to come into contact or to
touch a common conductor!
Give special care not to reverse the polarity of the vehicle battery.
The NOT PROTECTED STARTING MODE

4.3 POWER SOURCE FUNCTION TO CHARGE EXTERNAL ELECTRONIC
DEVICES
The starter is able to provide power to external electronic devices,
smartphones, tablets, notebooks, etc. from the amount accumulated in
the internal Li battery via a 5V USB port
plug output
(Fig. A-6) programmable at 12V, 16V and 19V.
The USB port
(Fig. A.7) is always enabled.
The jack plug output
when the starter does not acknowledge any appreciable power
absorption.
4.3.1 Enabling the USB port
The USB port
(Fig. A.7) is always enabled except in START
mode.
4.3.2 Enabling the jack plug output
Attention: before connecting any electronic device to the
jack plug output
value programmed and visible on the display is correct. Never
programme the jack plug output with an electronic device
connected, to prevent the risk of damaging the device being
charged is the selected voltage value is the wrong one.
Procedure
- Press and hold for 2 secs button
appear and the selected voltage will blink.
- Press button
repeatedly to select the desired voltage, after 5
seconds the numeric value of the selected voltage will stop blinking
and the programmed voltage value will be supplied via the jack plug
output
(Fig.A-6).
To change the output voltage value, repeat the operations described
above.
