The basic appliance and the attachments are in-
tended solely for use in outdoor, non-commercial
applications: Any other use, as well as unautho-
rised conversions or add-ons, are regarded as
contrary to the intended use and will result in in-
validation of the warranty as well as loss of con-
formity (CE mark); the manufacturer will thus de-
cline any responsibility for damage and/or injury
suffered by the user or third parties.
2.2
Possible foreseeable misuse
The tool is designed neither for commercial use
in public parks and sports facilities, nor for use in
farming and forestry.
Use only one extension tube with the pole-mount-
ed pruner and hedge trimmer attachment, even if
further extension tubes are available.
Trimmer and brush cutter attachment

Do not cut any shrubs, hedges, trees or flowers.
■
Do not lift the attachment off the ground
during operation.
■
Do not use the attachment with anything oth-
er than the OEM cutting tools (blade and cut-
ting line).
Pole-mounted pruner attachment
■
Do not saw off any branches that are directly
or at an acute angle above the user or other
persons.
■
Do not operate the attachment standing on a
ladder.
■
Do not use the attachment for sawing build-
ing materials and plastics.
■
Do not use any used oil or mineral oil.
Hedge trimmer attachment
■
Never press the hedge trimmer attachment
quickly and with force through the branches
to be cut off. Adjust your work movements to
the speed of the attachment.
■
Never remove branches jammed in the cutter
bar when the attachment is running.
■
Do not operate the attachment standing on a
ladder.
■
The attachment must not be used for cutting
lawns, lawn edges or for shredding material
in order to make compost.

Residual risks
Even during correct use of the appliance, there is
always a certain residual risk that cannot be ex-
cluded. Depending on the use, the following po-
tential risks can be derived from the type and
construction of the appliance:

Impairments to health arise from hand/arm vi-
bration if the machine is used over a long pe-
riod or is not correctly handled and main-
tained.
■
Danger of burns due to touching hot compo-
nents.
■
Danger of fire.
Trimmer and brush cutter attachment

Throwing out of cut material and inhaling cut
material particles
■
Cutting injuries from reaching into the rotating
cutting line
■
Danger of injury to the feet due to contact be-
tween the cutting tool and uncovered areas.
Pole-mounted pruner attachment
■
Contact with wood chips flying around and in-
haling wood chip particles and oil mist
■
Injuries caused by saw chain parts flying
around
■
Cutting injuries on the saw chain
Hedge trimmer attachment
■
Contact with falling branches and cut-off
branches flying around
■
Contact with branches under tension
■
Cutting injuries on the cutter bar
■
Injuries caused by parts of the cutter bar
breaking off

Safety and protective devices
WARNING! Risk of injury. Defective and
disabled safety and protective devices can result
in serious injury.
■
Have any defective safety and protective de-
vices repaired.
■
Never disable safety and protective devices.
