Seat height
Adjusting the seat height
To adjust rear seat height,
slacken and remove the 4 Torx
screws (A) (2 each side) and
the thread washer (B), (inside
of the axle plate (D), not shown
on the picture) which secures
the clamp (C) for the camber
tubes to the axle plates (D).
Adjust the two camber tube
clamps (C) to the required
height and replace the 4 Torx
screws. Before tightening the
screws, please follow the instructions for wheel tracking.
Tighten the screws to 10 Nm, (Fig.4.21).
NOTE: An adjustment to the castor angle may be
necessary when adjusting the rear seat height.

gravity of the seat.
Undo both screws,
(1) - (2 on each side)
and make the desired
adjustment to the axle
adapter on the axle
plate. Always make
sure that you have
selected the same
sett ing on both sides.
Tighten the screws to
10 Nm, (Fig.4.22).
DANGER!
Brakes must be adjusted to suit the new position!
Setting the centre of gravity
of the seat with medium and
long axle plates
Undo both screws (3) (2 on
each side), and for the NEON
with swing-away footrests, also
undo the screw (4). Move the
perforated plate to the required
position. Always make sure that
you have selected the same
setting on both sides. Insert
the screws and tighten to 7
Nm. Then undo the screws, (5)
under the seat tube and put the
seat tube back into the required
position. The screws must be
tightened to 7 Nm, (Fig.4.23-
4.24-4.25).
CAUTION!
The markings on the right and
left seat tube must be in the
same position on the rear edge.

Wheelbase extension
Wheelbase extension for
amputees
Using the amputee adapter, the
wheelbase can be extended
by 10.5 cm. For adjustment
please see, "Setting the centre
of gravity of the seat". Make
sure that after any adjustment
work, all screws are tightened
correctly, (1, Fig.4.26)-(see the
page on torque).
DANGER!
Wheel locks must be adjusted to suit the new position!
Wheel tracking
Adjusting the wheel tracking
Fundamentals: To achieve
the very best movement, the
rear wheels must be adjusted
to their optimum setting.
The wheel tracking must be
adjusted correctly. To do
this, measure both wheels to
check they are parallel. The difference between both
measurements should not be more than 5 mm. By
undoing the screws, (1) and turning the adapter, (2), you
can adjust the wheels to be parallel. Make sure that after
any adjustment work, all screws are tightened correctly,
Fig.4.27, (see the page on torque).
DANGER!
Be careful, there is a risk of tipping when adjusting the
centre of gravity of the seat!
Back
Angle adjustment of the folding backrest:
1.Open the upper screws and
loosen the screw connection
(Fig.4.28).
2.The hole in the back tube
must be lined up with the hole
in the connecting part, such
that you can set the desired
backrest angle (Fig.4.29).
3.Fit the screw connection with
the nut and washer until they
are hand tight, so that there
is no lateral play between the
components. But you must still
be able to fold the back tube
down
easily.
4.Set the folding mechanism:
To do this, loosen the nuts
on the cam slightly (Fig.4.30).
Set the cam (1) such that the
folding mechanism locks
into place with no play (if
necessary use a 10 mm open-
ended spanner to do this). Then
hold the cam in position and
tighten the nuts (5 Nm).
5.Repeat steps 1 to 4 for the
second side.
