Inserting the switch into the right-hand side panelling in the
luggage compartment

- Clip the switch (T or W, depending on the equipment specification) into the appropriate
cover (U, X) as shown in the figure such that all four locking catches on the switch housing
engage in the corresponding openings in the cover (see arrows).
Please note: All of the locking catches must audibly click into place in
the corresponding openings on both sides of the cover.

- Position the support (V or Y, depending on the equipment specification) on the rear of the
luggage compartment side panelling as shown in the corresponding figure.
- For vehicles with fixed rear seats (fig. 9), place the support onto the luggage compartment
side panelling between the marks (see arrows) and trace the outline of the strut using a
suitable felt-tip pen.
- For vehicles with Varioflex rear seats (fig. 10), position the support on the luggage compart-
ment side panelling in accordance with the dimensions in the figure. Ensure that the under-
side and sides of the support are lined up with the contour of the luggage compartment
side panelling.
- Trace the outline of the support onto the side panelling using a suitable felt-tip pen.

- Roughen the surface on the rear of the support (V or Y, depending on the equipment speci-
fication) using sandpaper (grit 80).
- Then clean and degrease the roughened surface with Terostat 8550 cleaning agent. Leave
to dry for 10 minutes.
Please note: The surface of the support where it is to be adhered
must be completely free from grease and any other dirt.
- Apply adhesive (Z) on the cleaned surface of the support and on the marked area on the
luggage compartment side panelling. Leave to dry for approximately 10 minutes.

- Adhere the support to the designated area on the luggage compartment side panelling and
carefully press down on it across its entire surface.
Please note: Use suitable clamps to hold the support in place such
that its entire surface is laying flat on the luggage compartment
panelling. Put the panelling, along with the support secured to it in
this way, in a safe place to one side for approximately 1 hour.
- Once the specified time has elapsed, use a suitable tool to cut an opening in the luggage
compartment side panelling along the edges of the opening in the support.
- When cutting, be extremely careful not to damage (cut) the support that you have adhered
here.
