INSTRUCTIONS
CROWN
The crown is used to set the time, to set the second
time zone and to stop the movement.
BATTERY
A battery can leak and damage the watch. If your
watch stops running, you should take it to an Author-
ized Patek Philippe Retailer immediately, where its
battery will be replaced and its water resistance
verified. Like mechanical watches, quartz watches
also need to be serviced every three to five years. A
battery change is not an overall service. The end of
the battery life is indicated by the seconds hand when
it advances in increments of four seconds instead of
one second.

SECOND TIME ZONE
Your watch has two central hour hands:
- The solid hand
displays local time (the time
zone in which you are currently located)
- The skeletonized hand displays home time (your
normal place of residence or work)
When you are at home and therefore local time and
home time are the same, the hands are perfectly
aligned to appear as one.
When you change time zone, you can move the local
hour hand forward or backward one hour at a time
using the crown pulled out to position 2. During this
time, the skeletonized hand
the time in your home time zone.
This useful function is intelligently combined with
a day/night indicator
coupled with home time. A
small aperture at 6 o'clock tells if it is day or night
(white = from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.; blue = from 6 p.m. to
6 a.m.) at your place of residence.
