6.2.2 Disassembling shape IM B35

For dismantling follow in reverse the instructions provided
in section 6.2.1.

6.2.3 Assembling shape SAE

For tightening torques refer to section 6.2.6
Before proceeding with assembly check
that the faces couplings (both on generator
and engine) are in order and perfectly

clean.
• Fit the disk (1) to the flywheel, fix the tie rod (2) with
thread locker.
• Using a lift slide the alternator, inserting the tie rod (2) in
the center hole of the rotor and fix the bell SAE (3) to the
engine (8).
• Mount the unit on antivibration dampers (5) making sure
that engine and alternator are level, lock the rotor by
tightening the self-locking nut (4) on the tie rod (2).

Before fastening the nut check that part of
the threaded section of the tie rod enters
the rotor thereby obtaining a sound hold.
CAUTION!
• Check that the exciter rotor and stator are perfectly
aligned.
• Replace the grilles (6) and fit the plastic cap (7).
6.2.4 Disassembling shape SAE
For dismantling follow in reverse the instructions provided
in section 6.2.3.

6.2.5 Assembling shape IM B34 (B3-B14)

For tightening torques refer to section 6.2.6
Dual bearing generators require a rigid frame to support the
engine/generator so that a good base is established for a
precise alignment. This frame should be anchored to the
base with antivibration dampers. In order to minimise twist
oscillations, it is advisable to use a suitably sized flexible
joint.
We recommend the installation of suitable protections
(covers) for the transmission. These protections should
be coupled with the flanges of the engine and generator
but at the same time must allow the inspection and the
maintenance.
In belt transmissions applied to dual bearing generators it is
essential that the pulley diameters and constructions permit
the load applied to the shaft to be centred with the length of
the nub and not to exceed 1000N. For greater shaft lengths
the acceptable loads can be requested directly to the Sincro
Technical Office.
Inadequate protection and/or bad alignment
!
of the generator can cause injury to persons
and/or damage to equipment.
