4.4. Bloom App

The Bloom App is a smartphone app, which connects to
the Bloom Lab via Bluetooth, interprets the quantified val-
ue and displays the measurement result to the user. The
Bloom App is connected to an online database, owned
and maintained by Bloom Diagnostics, which administers
user information and uses data analysis to generate indi-
vidual user insights.

5. Bloom Lab components

Caution: Only use equipment specifi ed by Bloom
Diagnostics to guarantee proper function of the device.
The Bloom Lab package includes (required):
• 1 x Bloom Lab
• 1 x Power supply (model no RYS518050150UE)
• 1 x USB-A to USB-C cable (150cm)
• 1 x Instructions for use

Not included (required):
• Bloom Test

6. Using the Bloom System for the fi rst time
Caution: Exceeding or not meeting the specifi ed
conditions can cause damage to the device.
The Bloom Lab works only in conjunction with the Bloom
App and Bloom Tests, collectively known as the "Bloom
System". To get started, download and install the Bloom
App on your smartphone and ensure you have access to
a Bloom Test.

7. General operating steps

Caution: Do not use the Bloom Lab in rooms with high
humidity such as the bathroom as this could lead to
failures regarding the evaluation of the retrieved sample.
Caution: Do not use the Bloom Lab for self test without
proper guidance from a healthcare professional.
In order to use the Bloom System, you must have a
smartphone with a working internet connection and the
installed Bloom App ready, as well as a Bloom Test.
Check the Bloom Lab package components for com-
pleteness and any damage to the Bloom Lab.
Step 1: Set up Bloom Lab
Caution: Do not use the Bloom Lab if the packaging or
the device are obviously damaged, otherwise correct
functioning cannot be guaranteed.
Do not use the Bloom Lab when it is exposed to
environmental conditions such as magnetic or electric
fi elds, external electrical infl uences, electrostatic
discharge, or thermal ignition sources.
Do not use the Bloom Lab with power supplies other than those
provided by Bloom Diagnostics in order to avoid electronic
malfunction of the device or electric shock.
