Please note:
It is not possible to operate a device connected to the RCA
video connection if a device is already connected to the S-VHS
connection. Likewise, you cannot operate a device connected to the
S-VHS connection if one is already connected to the RCA video
connection!
6.3 Receiving encrypted channels
Your TV set is equipped with a „Common Interface" to which you
can connect a CI module. You can then receive encrypted channels.
To do so, you must fi rst insert a CI module with a valid smartcard in
the slot provided:
> Insert a CI module into the slot with its topside facing towards
the back.
> Insert the smartcard into the CI module's card slot. Make sure
the gold-coloured chip on the smartcard is facing towards the
back in the direction of insertion.
> If you now select an encrypted channel, your digital receiver
automatically checks the slot. If an appropriate CI module with
a valid smartcard is present in the slot, the receiver will display
the channel decrypted.
Special functions
Certain special functions are provided for some channels, such as
Premiere (only receivable with a valid subscription!). On multifeed
channels, for instance, some sports broadcasts allow you to select
different matches (e.g. division football) or you can change the audio
channel (e.g. stadium/commentary) or camera angle (e.g. Formula
1 racing).
Furthermore, some channels allow you to choose the starting time
for the fi lm that you ordered.
6.3.1 Option channels
Some programmes provide option channels. This function allows
you, for instance, to choose from various camera angles during
a sports broadcast (e.g. Formula 1 racing) or to switch between
different sports venues (e.g. division football). If a programme
provides option channels, this is indicated by OPT appearing in the
info box.
> To select one of the available options, press the Option button.
A selection window appears containing the available options.
> Use the up/down arrow buttons to select the desired option.
> Confi rm with OK.
Your digital receiver will now set the selected option.
6.3.2 Selecting the starting time
On some channels you have the option of selecting individual fi lms
at various starting times. These fi lms can therefore be viewed at
different starting times around the clock. If a channel allows you to
select a starting time, this is indicated by OPT appearing in the info
box.
> To select one of the available starting times, press the Option
button.

6.4 Volume control
After you switch on the receiver, the sound will be played at the
volume level set in the menu.

If you switch to a programme being broadcast with Dolby Digital

however, is only possible for channels that broadcast Teletext data.
