Make sure that depleted batteries from the remote control as well as
electronic scrap do not enter the household waste but are disposed
of properly (e.g. taken back by the store or disposed of at a special
refuse site).

To gain access to the connections on the side of the TV set you
must fi rst detach the cover.
> To do so, press upwards slightly on both snap-in catches and
pull off the cover towards the back of the TV set.

Video recorder
4.1 Satellite antenna
a Connect the cable coming from the satellite antenna's LNB to
the LNB input of the LCD TV set.
4.2 Antenna / cable-TV connection (analogue and digital)
b Connect the antenna input of the LCD TV set either to a
terrestrial antenna or to the outlet of the cable-TV/antenna
connection.
Please note:
It is not possible to receive DVB-T and DVB-C signals at the
same time.
4.3 DVD player
c Connect your DVD player either
-
using an HDMI connecting cable to an HDMI socket or
-
using an HDMI/DVI connecting cable to an HDMI socket and
additionally using an audio connecting cable to the Audio IN
(VGA/DVI) input or
-
using a SCART cable to a SCART socket or
-
using an RCA cable to the component inputs of the LCD TV
set.
4.4 Video recorder
d Use a SCART cable to connect a SCART socket on the LCD
TV set to the SCART socket of your video recorder.
4.5 S-VHS video recorder/video camera
If you want to playback signals from an S-VHS video recorder or
video camera on your television set, connect the devices to the
appropriate inputs on the left at the back of the TV set.
4.6 Hi-fi amplifi er
4.6.1 Analogue
To achieve the best possible audio quality, you can connect the LCD
TV set to a hi-fi amplifi er. To do so, use a suitable cable to connect
the RCA sockets of the analogue audio output at the back of the
television set to an input on your hi-fi amplifi er (e.g. CD or AUX.
Caution! The phono input is not suitable!).
4.6.2 Digital
If your amplifi er is equipped with an appropriate electrical or optical
input (SPDIF), connect the digital audio output socket (electrical
or optical) to the input of your amplifi er.
Depending on the particular broadcasting station, sampling rates of
32 kHz, 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz are available.
If the Dolby Digital signal (AC3) is also transmitted, it too will be
available at this output.
4.7 Subwoofer
If you have an active subwoofer, you can connect it to the subwoofer
output using a suitable cable.
